Custom Breadcrumbs have been effectively disabled within Panels because of the sequence of when Panels assigns it's breadcrumb data. It is all done correctly, except that Custom Breadcrumbs can't properly gather it's own data before Panels executes that function.

Since breadcrumbs is an increasingly important issue in Drupal, it seems like a priority to try to make this work.

A month has passed, and I'm going over the issue queue ones more. Some issues have been closed for other reasons, some re-opened, but this issue has remained silent for the past month.
Because of this, I'm doing a bulk close of a number off issues. I'm sorry that it happened this way, but the issue queue has had to few contributors, and to many questions.

Again, as said in the previous comment, feel free to re-open the issue by setting it to active, if you still need help.

Ops, that was embarresing ;) Sorry tomogden. Anyway, since there is this nice issue about it over in Custom Breadcrumbs that has some more info in it, I think it's better that we bring that issue over here.
Unless someone has a different idea, I'm closing this a dup of #1251520: Panels crumbs don't get set to panels breadcrumb pane. and moving that one over to Panels.
