Performancing is currently seeking a Drupal apologist who has experience with Theme and/or Module development. Responsibilities will include weekly Drupal articles for our front page as well as coordination of paid contests for Theme and Module development.

Does that mean someone who uses drupal to theme, ect and constantly bangs his or her head on a desk while crying out "I'm sorry! Please forgive me..." ?

An apologist would be someone who writes justifications for a topic. So someone writing articles that counter claims that drupal is slow, ineffecient, or complicated could be considered a Drupal apologist. Though I'd think the word "advocate" would probably be a better fit for most people writing about a topic.
