rjerome commentedCurrently no, but probably a good idea. I can see two ways to implement this. One would be if the admin disables all but one of the publication types, then you would get just what you describe. When you add biblio content, it would open to the full form configured for the type in question and you would not be able to change it.
The other option is where you could have multiple publication types available, but you could set a default.

kblanch09 commentedYeah what I want to do is just have one publication type available so that the user does not have to worry about it at all. However, when I add biblio content, it still asks me to pick a publication type even though there is only one to choose from because all the rest are disabled. I just want to have it automatically set to that type and go right into adding the field contents.

rjerome commentedI was just throwing ideas out there, I haven't actually done it yet :-) What you are looking for, shouldn't be a big deal it implement, so I'll take a look.
Ron.

kblanch09 commentedAll i'm looking to do is hide the publication type from the user. Since we are only using one publication type for our website, I just want to set it to the one available publication type
So if there is only one publication type enabled, I want to have that be the default type for the records.
rjerome commentedYep, that's what will happen when I implement this. If there is only one publication type enabled, the drop down select list for publication types will not be shown.
kblanch09 commentedHmm for some reason that does not happen with me. Here is what I get when I try to add a new biblio.
It still makes me choose that type even though it is the only one available.
In order to disable a pub type, do you just go to /admin/config/content/biblio/pubtype and then hide all the types you dont want?
rjerome commentedAs I mentioned in #3, I haven't made the code changes necessary to make this happen yet, so until I do, that is exactly what you will get.
kblanch09 commentedI apologize. I read your earlier post wrong and thought it was already implemented. My bad.
