I'll soon be using Drupal it in a commercial environment.
The default theme (I believe it's Garland) is very complex and comes with a lot of CSS to get your head around. The Handbook themes section doesn't even mention v5.1 so I wanted to get the latest best-practice. Is there one of the standard ones that's better than others to use as a starting point? Either way I get the impression it's going to take hours removing what I don't want from the current theme(s) before I can even start making it look how I want. To encourage everyone to have unique looking sites I thought there might be a bare-bones theme.
One option is to start a new style.css from scratch, is this what most people who produce Drupal sites do?
I'd just like some basic advice really. Cheers.

How about Zen(http://drupal.org/project/zen)?
