Hi,
Following a chat on irc with Bdragon, I'd like to suggest a new feature for this module and it's views integration.
The idea is to have a block where you can see all nodes that are in proximity of the one you are looking at. The view would be a block view, that you could install on some pages, image nodes for example.
So the new block could be used with the gmap module to generate a map of nodes that are 'near' the one you are looking at... I guess the distance could be set by the creator of the view, or it could simply be a max number of nodes....Not sure about that, but I think some setting to set the 'distance' you want might be nice...
Not sure how the location could be passed to the view, but sure seems possible...
I'm willing to sponsor this feature if someone wouldbe interested in doing it asap.
Thank you,
Patchak

nicolash commentedI believe the location_views module exposes various location fields to Views - should be in the contrib folder...

patchak commentedThanks for the reply, but the views integration does not allow to show a gmap of nodes thast are close to the one you are looking at, without providing any location info.

bdragon commentedI had said I'd set this up. Assigning to self.

yesct commentedI think the latest version has proximity search working with views. I think you could make a block and put the results in there. Try the latest version, if it does not have this, please re-open.
