Marking the following issues as duplicates of this issue in order to bring all i18n localization related issues under a single issue:
#1382114: Vocabulary Title Not Translated in Breadcrumb
#1624488: Make module work with i18n localization

This is a 7.x-1.0 release blocker. I will test the suggested fixes in each of the issues. Additional patches and testers welcome.
