I am looking for an easy way to do frontpage news list, with 2-3 latest nodes displayed as teasers, followed by list of nodes (titles only with date) below (10 of these).

It would be possible with the Views module, but I do not know how to filter-out first 2-3 nodes. Anyone?

Just to bump myself. There must be someone who had a same issue!

EDIT:
An issue has already been posted on http://drupal.org/node/138352 to make this work with Views module.
If anyone knows 'non-views' approach, please post.
