Hi, I've read the docs but I'm stumped. I'm trying to create a unique front-page presentation using Context but I am unable to totally remove the default listing of node teasers.

Site is D7, with Context and Omega theme. So far I've:

  1. Created a new context named "frontpage"
  2. For this context I've added a PATH condition: "<front>"
  3. I've also added a Reaction of Blocks. For this reaction I've added all the blocks and views that I'd like to appear on the front page. I specifically don't add the main page content.
  4. I've saved the Context definition.
  5. But when I view the home page I am able to see the desired blocks as well as the undesired default content (a listing of node teasers).

However if I go back and redefine the context with the main page content I discover that I'm able to control the placement of this content within the other blocks (proving, I assume, that Context is controlling the presentation).

Suggestions?

Issue summary: View changes

Hi, this is an old issue but lets go. Did you unchecked 'Promoted to front page' when publishing your nodes? Did you remove the 'Main page content' block from your content region?

In your case I suppose the issue is that the nodes have the option 'Promoted to front page' checked.

If you still have the problem, please reopen it. Thanks!
