is there a chance to get a 1.0 soon? I saw there are only ~80 missing strings... is there any other show stopper?

Opensource development is based on participation of volunteers. Because those volunteers spend their time on translating, it is not possible to estimate the remaining time to a 1.0 release. But please feel free to participate. Currently there are following unfinished files:

comment-module.po (2 strings)
drupal-module.po (15 strings)
filter-module.po (16 strings)
path-module.po (13 strings)
statistics-module.po (10 strings)
system-module.po (16 strings)
taxonomy-module.po (20 strings)
throttle-module.po (8 strings)
tracker-module.po (3 strings)
user-module.po (8 strings)

Hass, just like René said, "we" can't promise anything. We are not paid for translating and do all the work in our spare time. However, I encourage you to translate the remaining parts and file patches in the issue queue so that we can move towards a "1.0" translation. Currently, I don't know of any "show stoppers", it's merely a question of time and willingness.

within the last 2 months i translated some popular modules in spare time - i know how much work translation is...

Localizer (17 commits)
Node style (15 commits)
Auto locale import (14 commits)
Update status (10 commits)
XML Sitemap (formerly Google Sitemap) (10 commits)
Views (7 commits)
Content Construction Kit (CCK) (6 commits)
Site map (4 commits)
Pathauto (4 commits)
Meta tags (2 commits)
Node clone (2 commits)

all are 100% expect views with ~80%.

i only like to stop people telling drupal is "unready" and they don't like the "mix of English and German" - and they are not wrong. i don't know your priority, but maybe this translation should get a higher prio - so that this task is finished before 6.x comes out and 5.x development is discontinued :-). i'm sorry i have zero time the next two weeks.
