Base Info: Drupal 5.x with Barron 5.x-1.4 and Barron 5.x-1.x-dev.
This issue appears no matter whether I choose the main Barron theme or the Barroness sub-theme (live example at http://wifireporter.com/drupal-testbed/). The navigation block, no matter whether set to right or left sidebar, always appears at bottom-right sidebar.
The exception is when I'm not on the front page. The sidebar block appears as they should in all areas except . I've checked the block settings and they should appear on all pages.
What's up? Thanks for investigating.

themegarden.org commentedI'm a bit confused about your question.
That link you have posted ( http://wifireporter.com/drupal-testbed/ ) doesn't point to site Barron theme, but to Aberdeen (Aberdeen Liquid) theme and in my browser it seems ok (my browser is firefox 1.5)
I have installed Barron theme (barron-5.x-1.3) and I haven't noticed issue you talking about.
You can see it at themegarden.org
- http://themegarden.org/drupal50/?q=node&theme=barron
- http://themegarden.org/drupal50/?q=node&theme=barroness
Which browser are you using?

drupalfan commentedI had switched to Aberdeen for a bit, but I prefer the look of Barron. Barron is now the default on the test site. I've tried viewing the theme from FireFox and Safari -- same outcome: the nav block is displayed in the lower-right.
I've tried all versions of Barron with the same result.
I did change my default frontpage, away from site.com/node -- and that works. However, the out-of-the-box frontpage alignment is wrong. When I switch to bluemarine or any other default theme, the nav block correctly appears. The temporary solution is to use taxonomy to display nodes on the fly.
I noticed the same problem with Amadou.

jwolf commentedI am not experiencing this problem. I'll need some more info before I can help.
Did you modify the theme in any way?
What modules are you using?
Are you using a WYSIWYG editor module; creating content with a WYSIWYG editor?
Was it one posting that put everything out of wack?
What's your zodiac sign?
Is there a very dark cloud above your head?
Is this a short circuit between your seat and keyboard?
Is there anything else that you care to mention at this time?
Also, the link that you are referring to does not have Barron as the theme.....

drupalfan commentedYour mention of modules made me think. I went and disabled all the third-party modules - and when I tried to view the site.com/node front page, I saw an error about tabs. I deleted the tabbed messages created with jstools' tab module and everything was fine. However, I'm not sure if it was the module or the tabbed nodes which were the problem; I re-enabled the tab module and the front page still displayed fine.
The upshot: Barron works. I can get on with other site customization.
