Will there be future support for Googletalk?

I really would like to add better support for Google Talk an other XMPP Based services like gmx.net, Gizmo or OpenWengo.
But i have not found a good online status bot, that really works out of the box.
The onlinestatus.org implementation does not work in most cases.
The Edgar Homepage is offline since summer 2006.
There is an other GTalk Bot by Jon Burrows, but this Tool is also most times down.
Maybe i should write my own XMPP Status Bot and release it under the GPL.
