I've been able to adjust a lot of the css for the galleria classic view but, despite much trying, have been unable to adjust overall width. Has anyone done this?

For the width and height, have a look at the option set, specifically the 'width' and 'height' properties ;-)

I did that...wasn't sure how to set settings...ended up using http://www.brightwebsitedesign.com/how-to-install-views-slideshow-module... instead of Galleria.

The system just closed it automatically because I marked it as fixed to clean up the issue queue. You should've reopened it when you replied.

I'm sorry you couldn't get it working. To change the width/height options, just go to the Drupal module's settings at /admin/config/media/galleria and edit the option set you're using (most commonly the 'Default' option set).
