Hi there,

It would be great if a user could also pick a city (or cities) that he wants to use as his default during the sign-up process. So far the account creation process only asks for name and email address. Other daily deal sites ask for city preference during the signup process. This module should be able to do the same as well.

I can't understand the use of this feature... A user can change the deals' city, at any time, using the selectbox that exists at the header section of the site.

This feature would be important for two reasons.

1. When you can pick a preference for city, the homepage should show you the deal for that city automatically when you access the homepage.

2. When the deals site has the ability to send deals via email to customers, the deals in the email should be based on the city that the user chose as a preference.

Overall people are not interested in seeing deals in other cities if they are not living close to that city. Deals are often a very local phenomenon. A customer in Miami does not want to receive emails about deals from New York. So, there has to be a way to store the city preference for each customer so that the right deals can be emailed to the right people. Take a look at how Groupon's signup page works.
