I use Flag module anyway on my site to bookmark some content as favorite, expired or viewed.
Now I would like to implement rating (like/unlike flag + number of votes) for another type of content and I think whether I should install another rating modules as:
1) Rate (with vote up/down option for like/unlike purpose).
2) Vote Up/Down
Or maybe it would be better for performance to use the Flag + integrated Actions.
Like "less modules" is better, but not sure if it would be.
So, what if I will use Flag for Like/Unlike purpose + integrated Actions to "+1" or "-1" a CCK field of node for votes number rating. Whether it could improve performance instead of using specific additional module?

quicksketchI would say you should base your decision on the functionality you desire. It's important to know that Flag is not capable of "Flag up/down", it only has "Flag up" capability (similar to Digg +1 or Facebook "like" buttons). I've never tried Rate module, but any module based on VotingAPI should be efficient from the database query perspective. Of course with any site, the more modules you add, the more memory and processing it requires, but I wouldn't let that dictate the functionality of your site. There are plenty of good solutions for vote up/down out there and if you want that functionality, you should go with those modules instead of Flag. If you just want vote up ability, then you're right that there's no need to install another module.

Anonymous (not verified) commentedI created a global flag "rating".
how can I display the number of flags on the full node page?
(i.e. it is necessary to implement a rating in the likeness of Facebook "like" buttons)

If it's global, it's 1 :)
Also, if you want a rating, you should be using VotingAPI not Flag.
