Original Image Size

Issue Summary

I'm using Gallery Assist in combination with fupload for my picture gallery. The first image of the different galleries are displayed in an overview list, which i created with a views item. When i upload the pictures, everything is fine.

If i look into the directory of an album, i find 3folders named img, prev and thm. Those are the tumbnails etc, which size can be configured in the assignments tablet.
Besides that, the original image is also uploaded in its original format. I want to upload a ton of images, which will results in a huge amount of lost data on my host(because i only display the resized images). Is there a possibility/configuration where i can configure that those original images are prescaled? This would result smaller images and on high level a lot of spared host space..
