As I needed a cropping plugin for IMCE, but my client was confused by the way the original method of cropping worked. I reworked this plugin to use a instance of jCrop instead. (see http://deepliquid.com/content/Jcrop.html)

As this was a bit to big to submit as a patch and I failed to see a github styled merge request her on DO. I decided to simply fork your dev branch and create a new sandbox project.http://drupalcode.org/sandbox/ReneB/1395110.git

note when using that sandbox I got the same sized image with black where the cropped image should have been.
