problem adding contextual link to a specific view

im trying to add a contextual link to a specific view, can sucusffully add a link to "all views" but when i try to add a link either to "all displays of a view" or "a specific display of a view" i get no option to select the view to target and links automatically get assigned as "Attached to the Recent Posts view." or "Attached to the Recent Posts - Master [default] view display." respectivley
