ubersoft has been down since at least april 20, as implied by the date of the posting.

Ubisoft is a comic strip.

ubercart is an eCommerce package. Fortunately it can be downloaded from the projects page here.

This is why we focus efforts onto keeping resources here on drupal.org itself. Even though we have had our scalability and resource issues we are generally available and the cross pollination of knowledge on the different projects is simply amazing.

lol Fun bit of miscommunication on this thread. : P

Yeah, the code is hosted here for reasons just like this. The server is actually our own Dell Power Edge 2900 that for some reason randomly had a hardware failure on Friday afternoon. It will be back up as soon as they send a repair guy out on Monday with some parts. Enjoy watching Homestar Runner in the meantime. ; )

And get a little more sleep tonight on us.

It is hard to feel secure in using ubercart when their website is down so much. When it is up it is extremely slow and I hope this is just due to the huge demand on the server because it is a great product. Unfortunately when the server is unreachable all together it makes me think that maybe there are exploits in the software that are.. well.. being exploited ;) Can someone confirm that the site is down? ( http://www.ubercart.org )

it is down but I wouldn't place blame on any kind of an exploit that is being used against them because of their code or every site that uses ubercart would be chiming in. Hardware failures happen. It being the weekend, they may not even know something is wrong yet. Or they do know and can't do much about it until Monday.

Aye, I can't SSH into the server from where I sit, though I'm sure it will be fixed in the morning. I probably would've noticed before now but the AC has been out in my house and I've spent all afternoon with the repair guys learning how it works and watching my money drain away. : )

(AC is working now, and I can't wait to sleep without sweating tonight.)

Also, as bwv said... the software running Ubercart.org is Drupal... so I hope we'd know about any exploits. ; )

And... back up.

Lest I be accused of being "soft" on Ubercart (ahem) the UC scripts do not power their site. If drupal.org was down for a few moments, would we then be credibly positioned to condemn the drupal cms? I have used UC on numerous sites and it is a work of pure genius.
