A few features I mentioned in the forums, but now making it official:

1. Hook this into the organic groups module so content in a group can be filtered by node type- i.e. see all a groups events, or stories, etc.

2. filter type block that shows up when you are within a category to allow quick fitlering of content. This is possible via a custom block (though my php sucks so I'm having trouble with that), but requires some complex path settings for the block to have it show up in all the right places. Another option is just creating menu items that open up when you are within that term. This is simple, but requires creating a lot of menu items if you have a bunch of tax terms.

I wish I had some useful php skills to create the filter block...I'm a slow learner.

I'm in the middle of a major change to the module to allow "plain language" taxonomy terms in the url (i.e. /typecat/alias/vocabulary_name/term_name instead of /taxonomy/term/23). I will look into this feature request once I've got this major change settled in for the most part.
