I understand that anytime the user object is changed, any merge tags (for Required lists) are updated in the user's record on Mailchimp. However, many of us use the popular Content Profile module solution instead of the core Profile module. I'm making a request for the Mailchimp module to accomplish the same when Content Profile is in use. Thus, when a user changes their Content Profile fields, the merge tags are synchronized on Mailchimp to reflect the new values.

Alternately, I imagine this could be a contrib module that is only enabled by users who are using Content Profile.

Requesting this for 6.x.

I have the same problem. The only time any of the Content Profile fields that have been changed get synced is if you change the email address. I'm guessing that the trigger to update is only working on the user account, not any of the Profile content.

The record does not update when I change my user account email address. instead, i find that the subscribe to newsletter is unchecked and if i check it again, a new entry is created on mailchimp. now mailchimp shows the old and new email addresses as their own subscriptions.

“And now our watch [for support of the 6.x version of the MailChimp module] has ended…” With the end of Drupal 6 support, I’m sad to say we too must turn the page.

Fret not! The 7.x-4.x and 8.x versions come highly recommended. Both are using Mailchimp’s new API 3.0 and are being actively maintained. “What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger!”
