Removing "Group e-mail settings" from the registration form

I have posted this in a message of a bug report thread, but since the thread is set like "fixed" I don't know if you considered it. I apologize if you are already working on it.

The problem is:

I decided to disable the module for some testings and find out that in the registration form "Group-email settings" still shows. Do you know any way of deleting this, please?
