There are some neat features in the libraries 2.x branch that could ease development. We should upgrade from the 1.x branch.

We need to at least check that the slideshow is working for articles and that the wysiwyg module still works. That's the two libraries that we have in core.

Everything seems to be working well with libraries 2, so I see no reason not to go ahead with this.
