FB Comments Not Showing On Site

I created a preset for the comment module for articles on the site. Commenting via the fb plug-in on the site will successfully post the article link with the comment to a user's wall. However, comments being made to articles on fb are not translating to the site itself.

Is this simply how the plug-in works? I suspect it isn't because I originally pasted the code directly into the node--article.tpl.php file and it was pulling comments from facebook (albeit every comment ever on any article was showing up for every article).

Is this an issue with the settings I originally entered for this module (the app #, etc.), just the way this plug-in is designed with drupal, or something else?

The plugin is working fine now. I honestly forgot about this issue and if I remember correctly it resolved itself. I think it was just a matter of waiting for everything to sync up.
