Blank email subject and body with HTML Mail module

I agree that it should work, but we have no indication that it's Subscriptions' fault.

AFAIK, HTML Mail module would replace the core mail system, and it needs to work with whatever the core mail system works with.

If there's something we can do to accommodate HTML Mail, I'm certainly willing to consider that, but it needs to come from the other side.

Have you brought this up in the HTML Mail queue?

Hello. I am getting the same blank subject line and message body, but I am using the suggested modules "Mail Editor" and "Subscriptions Mail". Any ideas of what is causing the issue?

If Subscriptions works with the default mail system, but not with HTML Mail, that means that HTML Mail fails to pick up the functionality of the core mail system that it replaces. That is primarily HTML Mail's problem.

I do expect some minor issues that we may need to solve together (e.g. some tags or entities to show up), but not major ones like this.

Interest on the HTML Mail side is not overwhelming: #1122792: Create a "maileditor" template.

I'm getting blank e-mails for Taxonomy Subscriptions. There isn't a mail edit option for Subscriptions - Taxonomy in the Mail Edit configuration screen. If I change to the Digest option, I get the mail with subject and body. There seems to be a missing mail Edit template for Taxonomy subscriptions.

What makes you think #7 is related to the HTML Mail module?

Just for the record, there has been an issue with the Mail Editor module that may have caused empty mails under specific circumstances: #1606954: Email sent out before doing any configurations in Mail Editor has emtpy Subject / Body (in Subscriptions)

Updating to the current -dev version of Mail Editor or visiting admin/config/system/mail-edit would take care of that.

I'd love to know whether there's still a separate issue with HTML Mail or not. Anyone?

Assuming this is fixed in Mail Editor RC1.
