praise to this module!
that said, i have ideas where endpoints are not entities but entity revisions.

if we had pluggable endpoints this would come for free.

I don't think this is within the scope of this project. It might be possible to add it as a separate project, and if anyone does, we'd be happy to discuss changes to the API to make it easier. But it might make more sense to just create a module that exposes entity revisions as entities? Of course, then you have to deal with each entity type's particular way of dealing with revisions...
