The ability to add your own message to the "Access Denied" page would be useful.

Another feature request: White-listing support(internally). Might take a while before P.H.P comes up with their own white-listing.

The "webbased neigbhourhood" article approach is interesting, but I think we should rather opt for a central page hosted by P.H.P. which we can link to. This is far easier to maintain in the Drupal module and also allows other projects to implement this method without too much work.
