Hello,

I'm developing a site in D7, with no prior experience of Drupal and very little of any other web development. I'm nearly finished but could do with some help in a few areas where I'm stuck.

I'm wondering if there's someone who might be able to provide a few hours of paid help, by phone and email.

My current priorities are:

- My site looks fine in Firefox and Chrome, but in IE all the images which Drupal is resizing are reduced to about 5px in width (sigh...)

- I started developing my site locally using Acquia Drupal Desktop, then successfully deployed it to a server. Now I've broken my original local copy (oh dear), and want to create a new local copy from the server version (as a test version, as a backup, and as proof of concept for backups in general). I've downloaded a .mysql copy of the database, and the sites folder from my Drupal installation, but have not yet succeeded in importing these to create a functional local copy.

- The site is pretty slow, and I've run YSlow but I'm not sure how to implement most of the recommendations.

- I'm using a view of a single node to create a header and a footer for the site, which is mostly looking good, but on some pages these don't show up (for example, the second and subsequent pages of the home page content, when I click there via the pager links)

- I have some views which are not working properly and I don't understand why. I've asked them not to display the first item in the list, but they're showing it anyway.

- With the RSS feeds, I've selected for it to truncate them, but it seems to be putting the full articles in anyway. Also the RSS feeds don't seem to be working, but I'm not sure if this is because I have the site in maintenance mode.

- Also I have some bits and pieces of theming that I'm stuck with, and various other queries about the best way forwards.

Thank you!

Jessica

Hi everyone, I've had seven responses to my posting above, many of whom look like they would be great to work with, and I'm getting back to them individually. Please consider this request closed, and many thanks to the community for such responsiveness.
