Hi,
I have ported the 'jQuery menu' module to D7 late 2011. I originally contacted him then, and he replied. Since then I have posted to the issue queue several times (http://drupal.org/node/996444), but haven't heard back.

I would like to post the patch so there is a drupal 7 version. Are you able to give me access?
