Fileshare works out beautifully.
Question: the uploaded filenames are not searchable in my configuration? Is that intended behaviour or did I miss something in the configuration. If it is intended behaviour then I would like to change this issue to a "feature request" category. It would be nice to be able to enter meta information per file and this information should come up in the normal Drupal search results.

Currently no meta data is kept on the files in a fileshare. No database info is kept at all. I agree that it would be nice. Maybe at some time - or you could take a crack at it... ;)
