This feature is always listed as overridden as the /forum menu link component is not defined in debut_forum.info

I'm not sure about the best way to resolve this. Adding it ends up defining the main menu in this feature when running drush features-update which we probably don't want.

Is this by design or is there a better solution?

Yes, this was a problem. Removed the menu link.
