I havent installed this yet, since i really need a 4.7 version at the moment (which i guess i might take a quick look at converting this to)... but from the write up on the project page is it safe to assume that the suer database is not integrated with Drupal's user database? In other words i need accounts set up separately for each.

yes the openads module does not integrate the OpenX (Openads) admin interface in Drupal.

Perhaps future releases can more tightly integrate but given that there's no guarantee that
the OpenX server will be on the same hardware as the Drupal server any integration would
be minimal.
