Hi,

Environment Canada appreciates when people such as yourself build applications using our free data offerings on the internet.

In exchange, we ask product and software developers to made it obvious that the data comes from Environment Canada. You can find the license here:
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/doc/LICENCE_GENERAL.txt

While the application's web page (http://drupal.org/project/ecweather) complies with the terms of the license, it is not the case for the application itself from what we can see from the screenshots.

From the following screenshot, it is not obvious that the data is provided by Environment Canada:
http://drupal.org/files/images/ecweather_block.thumbnail.png

In order to comply with the license, you can simply add at the bottom of the screen « Data provided by Environment Canada ». You can see how another developer handled this by looking at KDE Weather screenshot in attachment.

You could indicate the source of the data in a different manner from the above, so long as the attribution is obvious.

We kindly ask you to update your application by adding the attribution to Environment Canada. I would ask that you please inform me when it is done.

You can contact me if you have any question regarding this issue or for any other questions about the Environment Canada data.

Best regards,

--
