I'm using content profile to extend some user profiles for our site. We have a role for a manager who has permission to create user profiles.
I've set up pathauto to create path aliases for the users content profiles.

If i create a new user ( and content profile) as user 1 , the newly created content gets the correct URL alias.
If I perform the same action masquerading in the managera role, the URL alias is not generated - in fact I can see that the 'Generate automatic URL alias' checkbox is not ticked on the node edit form at all.

I've given the role all of the necessary permissions. I'm not sure what's up? Has anyone got any advice?

I should say, i've tried version 6.x-1.6 as well, so this isn't something particular to the 6.2 alpha release.

O.K,so I suspect this may be more to do with content profile that pathauto, but would like someones opinion.

If I create a user ( and in turn a content profile node) the URL alias checkbox is not checked.
If I create the content/node which is used by content profile via node/add/content-type , the checkbox is ticked.

Is it bad form to post a note about this over in the content profile issue queue and link back to this thread or would that be considered cross posting?
I genuinely unsure about with which module the issue lies.
