Written Permissions - PLEASE HELP

chennon221 - May 2, 2007 - 19:14

I been trying to install Drupal 5.0 for the past few days now. I have hit a wall. Can anyone help?

This is what I've done so far:

Download/Installed MySql
Downloaded Drupal 5.0
Unzipped and transferred to my web server (FTP)
When I type in the address, I get an error message stating "The Drupal installer requires write permissions to ./sites/default/settings.php during the installation process."

How can I solve this problem? Would I need to go back and manually change the settings.php page? I thought with the new version, it's changes automatically.

Thanks!!

Change ur setting permission CHMOD 777
