I am trying to setup Signing up for events with CCK Signup in Drupal 7.

Almost all the required modules have been upgraded to Drupal 7 except Views attach (http://drupal.org/project/views_attach), which has been deprecated for Drupal 7 in favor of EVA (http://drupal.org/project/eva).

And slight difference in functionality of these two modules are causing the biggest obstacle in proper setup - EVA does not provide Reference from URL widget option for Drupal 7 as Views attach did for Drupal 6. And this screws up the whole setup, otherwise quite functional.

Ready to pay a bounty of 50 USD to anyone who can solve this issue by either extending EVA's capability or by finding any way around.

The reference from url option comes from the http://drupal.org/project/nodereference_url module-- eva is superior to views_attach.

Thank you everyone, but I've just found out about existence of http://drupal.org/project/comment_limit, which perfectly meets my needs. So I have to withdraw my announcement. There appeared to exist a very simple solution to my task, which saves me from trying too complicated ways. Thanks for attention.

yngens - fyi it's kind of spammy sending private messages to people for something like this, if they have no association with the module... just a warning to be careful so you don't get yourself banned.

Dear Ariene,

I apologize for contacting you, promise - will not anymore. Especially after this kind of attitude. Why I did though contact you? Because I believed you actually did have association. http://drupal.org/node/998334/revisions perfectly shows you are an active editor of http://drupal.org/node/998334, the subject of the issue I am dealing with. Would be meaningless for me to contact completely occasional person. Better mind real spammers or even better turn off your contact form. And you will not be disturbed anymore by even quite legitimate communications.

Hi yngens - I wasn't making threats, just noting that it's not well accepted in case you weren't aware of this - sometimes people will message many people on the site just to increase the possibility they'll get a response. Your message was very brief so there was no reason I would think that it hadn't been sent to many people.

If you read the notes on the revisions, you'll see I was only formatting the content (as part of the documentation team). I'm not actually familiar with the functionality in question... I've edited hundreds of page at this point, but it doesn't mean I'm an expert on them all. ;)
