Following the update to the latest version of the module 6.x-1.4. The gift certificates are able to be applied to cover the entire cost of the order, however for partial payment the auto-deduction does not work. The messaging suggests that the gift certificate will be applied as before, but the credit card is charged the full amount. Also, you'll see in the screenshot that the Subtotal no longer reflects the application of the Gift Certificate amount towards the total cost of the order.

If someone can diagnose/remedy this I will gladly compensate them for their time and effort.

Can the same functionality be acheived by UC discount coupon? Is this module dormant/unmaintained?

How is this not getting more attention? The module is worthless without this functionality.

There's three scenarios:

1. Customer has $50 in gift certificates, order is $40. They pay with gift certificates and have $10 remaining. This works.

2. Customer has $50 in gift certificates, order is $50. They pay with gift certificates and have $0 remaining. This works.

3. Customer has $50 in gift certificates, order is $60. There's no way to use the $50 credit they have!?

Even in scenario 1, if they have $10 left over, and the cheapest product on the site is $20, they just lost $10 because it can never be used.

Is there something I'm missing?
