FYI, I think the dev version is failing to load themes. I added the theme twelve, and set it in the options for an image field, cleared caches galore, and could never get it to load. I installed the beta 2, works fine now.

Never mind.. did something stupid on my end..
the Twelve theme works seamlessly.. it appears.. HEY THANK YOU FOR THIS MODULE UPDATE!

You say the theme shows up in the selection box at the options page but then does not load?
Do you have different Gallerias on one page with different themes?

I was having this problem as well and it turned out that my theme files didn't have the correct file permissions so it wasn't being recognized.
