Thanks for making Drupal easier to theme, this looks promising!

It says on the project page:

Livethemer works best with the Livethemer Base theme

I would like to build sites based on responsive design from now on, so will the Livethemer module work with the Omega theme out of the box, or do I need to change a lot of stuff to make them work together?

Although it hasn't been tested specifically with Omega Theme, most variations should work in any theme. I would be careful playing with page level variations since Omega is a responsive theme and test everything before using it on a live site.

That sounds good, I will try it out and report back on the result.

Interested to hear how you went with this :)

I installed the Livethemer module and tried using it with the Omega theme, but of the list below, only the two last options 'Page' and 'Buttons' had links and could be altered, the others don't have any links. And I couldn't select for example elements like blocks from the page, so it seems like it doesn't work with Omega at this point in time.

Click an object on the page to change its style, or select one of the following:
Backdrop - Designs
Blocks - Block Designs, Lists, Links, Table Styles
Regions - Designs
Node - Designs
Comment - Designs
Page - Header Area, Typography ** This one works **
Buttons - Designs ** This one works **
