Windows Media player don't playes downloaded files, is audio module changing files on upload or there is problem with file names?
Windows Media Player played it before uploading, when I download it gives me error, that it can't find the codec...

Tracy Dean commentedI've been having this problem in 4.7 - it seems to be when the module writes the ID3 tags.

this is a getid3 bug...
IMHO you can submit a patch (for getID3) or disable it in your module(audio) :S

drewish commentedlooks like a pretty clear getid3 bug. i'm not going to start distributing patches for their code so this is a clear won't fix.

acoote commentedHi Guys
Sorry to rehash this thread (hopefully someone is still listening!)
It seems that this bug is ongoing! Even with the latest getID3 release (1.7.9) it still seems to have issues with correct ID3 tag writing (well at least Windows Media player cannot read it). I browsed the getID3 forums and came across a thread detailing this issue in 2005! They said it would be fixed in the next release, but that obviously never materialised.
In terms of this module, I have simply turned off the "writing of ID3 tags". I don't see a big issue for my current environment... was the main purpose envisaged that users could actually edit their ID3 tags from with Drupal itself?
