Sort result by node creation date

Check if you index the date fields. Then creation date is available in the views sort criteria.

Can't sort by creation date even if I add date in the index , the creation date appear in field section in views but doesn't appear in the sort by.

Any fix ??

When you create a new View, select for "Show" instead of default "content" the name of your search index e.g. "Node Index" like in my case.
