I am having a bit of an issue getting panels working in D6. When I use the layout designer, I am unable to adjust the region widths.

When I try to adjust them, the layout designer goes banana..clicking on the bar which should drag it to the right, the region becomes smaller on the left..
columns aren't resizing properly. After initial building a lay out with fixed columns/rows and regions, it is not workable.
I should think that the columns, rows and regions should be shown as the maximum values related to the canvas settings, and than with the slider you can adjust if you want to make them smaller, or change them. But changing the slidebar, gives very unpredictable situation. See attached image for an example. If I slide the Area Middleleftregion to right...it will never go back to the left..It is somehow impossible to get it back to the first slidebar.
It would be great if this layout designer should work correct.

That particular code has gone mostly untouched for 2 years, and while it's not perfect it has worked under most conditions. That suggests there is something in your environment that is interfering, causing the code to fail in exciting ways!
I'd start with checking out the theme. Does it work under a standard theme such as Garland?

japerryClosing this issue as outdated as Drupal 6 ctools is not supported. If this issue is relevant for Drupal 7, feel free to re-open and mark for Drupal 7 (or 8)
