Mail not adhering to Input Filters at time of sending mail ...

I have installed the [attached_node module] which allows you to insert a tag in a document [node:] ... The tag is then converted into the text from the node_id ...

When creating Mail ... the attached_node tag works correctly when previewing the message ... however, when the mail message is actually sent, only the tag is sent (it is not filtered into its content) ...
