You mentioned in the js issue queue that you're interested in merging this module back and do a D7 port as well, right? I would definitely like to see it happen. I'm not sun though..

Currently I just want do minimal bootstrap on D7, which is pluggable and reliable. I wont use it yet for ajah just yet, but as an lightweight esi callback. Other purposes would come later.

Well well, after multiple inqueries of mine towards the JS maintainers, it appears to me that there is few interest in my hooking into their module. So it is indeed becoming more and more likely that I really will continue this very one here instead. Which may of course include a general new approach and, also, a D7 port.

I shall get back to this after catching up with some more urgent issues.

I posted a Drupal 7 patch here: #970806: Port to D7; further development in general. I'd love some feedback and maybe it's a good starting point for a proper Drupal 7 version?
