I have the rights to commit code in the uc_auction git repository, but it does not give me rights to create releases.

I would like to take the responsibility to manage 7.x releases.

The problem is, that if you released a version, you cannot really delete old releases. Additionally (and that's the most important thing) the ubercart auction module is not really stable enough for a stable release. Let's be true to the users.
