Offering to maintain salsa_api [#1414992]

A few months ago I became maintainer of the Salsa Supporters module, which provides integration with the Salsa CRM from Salsa Labs. It is dependent on the Salsa API module, which appears to be abandoned.

I attempted to contact the maintainer of Salsa API, @dwatson, approximately two months ago, both in the project's issue queue (#1340372: Offering to maintain Salsa API) and via his profile page, and received no response. (A colleague has been in contact with his former employer, and apparently he recently started law school.)

I have nearly completed D7 ports of both Salsa Supporters and Salsa API for a client project. Sandbox projects based on this client work are available for both Salsa Supporters and Salsa API. I would like to become maintainer of Salsa API so that these sandbox projects can become proper D7 releases when they are complete. My company is also working closely with @Silona and others at Salsa Labs to greatly expand the integration possibilities between Salsa and Drupal, and to help define the next generation of Salsa's external API.

Hi I am the Developer Community Manager at SalsaLabs. We have been working closely with John Shortess on this and other Salsa integration modules. Since this project seems to be abandoned by its previous owner, we hope that John can be the official maintainer so we can fix this quickly and get it out to clients!
