Would like to know if this module is abandoned since I have to decide for an image gallery module and for what I can see "Node Gallery" has some bugs.

AFAIK, it has not been abandoned - but the D6 version is in maintenance. The devs are look for new co-maintainers...

The D7 version poses some issues...

Thanks for the answer, I can understand why, I really hope to find a co-maintainers. Unfortunately I can not program even though I am trying to understand many things, but that's not what I've learned.
I can not even correct English. :-)

I will be as long as I use Drupal 6 node Gallery faithful.

Unfortunately I don't find any time to work on my "pet projects" recently either. I think we've been really productive together, but it's just not possible for me at the moment.

The module is not abandoned. I've taken over as maintainer of this module, and I'm in the process of building a D7 version.

I expect to make only maintenance updates to the D6 version, though.
