Hi,

Sorry if this is obvious, but I am wonder whether Conference Organizing Distribution could somehow be adapted to facilitate a workshop series that is delivered in different locations over the period of a week in each location?

We have 3 different workshops to run and people can book for each or all.

Thanks in advance...

To manage and render the scheduled sessions for up to 5 locations per day works fine. To display the overall schedule we often use some kind of graphical organizer linked to the single day-views. We additionally then link to the other days directly at the top of each day view to facilitate navigation between days.

Booking is another topic. We have no experience with using ubercart, but as far as i understand its implementation to the COD model, visitors can just book "Events" by now, and not book an a per "Session" base. Unfortunately "Sessions" seem also not to be directly related with one instance of such an "Event". If you want to allow booking on a per-session base you might want to re-use/hack the "Signup"-module to count with some "virtual credit" a user gained after booking your "Event".

Hope this helps.

Hi Mukil,

Thanks so much for your response and tip.... what we are actually wanting it to have a series of 3 workshop carried out over 3 separate days (each workshop is different on each day) making up the ' series'. We then want to take the series to different locations on different dates i.e. week 1 the series in one location, week 2 the series is in another location... etc.

This might clarify how you might suggest our approach!

Appreciate any input you can give.

Thanks

Handling multiple events (e.g. a workshop) inside of COD is not a current feature.

See #1084462: Support for multiple events in one cod site (next generation feature) for details. Thanks for your interest in COD!
