When the gateway is in testing mode, no AVS response is currently returned, rather, a message that we're in testing mode and AVS does not apply.
Thus all transactions are authorized.
This seems counter-intuitive, as I'd like to test transactions (verifications) without being "live."
Thanks.

jazzdrive3 commentedCurious about this myself. Testing mode seems like it doesn't really test.

rickmanelius commentedHi 1kenthomas and jazzdrive3,
Can you provide additional steps on how to reproduce/see what it is you're looking for? I'm looking in the dblog and seeing both the request and the response, but not seeing an AVS key/value.
Also to clarify, when you say testing mode, do you mean a test in a live account or a developer account?
Finally, I'm not really sure if this is something that can be tested... because wouldn't it be possible for spammers/scammers to use a developer account and try to look for ways to abuse the results given as per what is accepted/rejected? Just thinking out loud here...

rszrama commentedPerhaps you just have to run the test transactions in a live account to get actual AVS responses?

mglamanTesting this on latest dev shows: "AVS response: Address (Street) and five digit ZIP match".
