in the block "received requests" i need to show an image instead of "relationship from user% (approve/decline)" and the image should link to the received request page.

the aim is to show an icon in the header if user x has a received request in a way like facebook.

any ideas

Your best bet would be to use one of the default views to provide this list than the provided block. With a view you can then attach other information about the user including their profile picture without a lot of additional hassle.
