I have 5 drupal sites built on drupal 6.
It's basic sites. Very low traffic. Basic modules.

To reduce the costs i was thinking about putting them on one Reseller Hosting.
There is the 50gb Disc Space and 500gb Bandwidth package for $25/month.

I know it's possible with Wordpress sites, but since drupal have much bigger requirements i doubt it will work out.

Anybody have experience with drupal and reseller hosting?

I doubt it too. There are many threads here on running Drupal on shared hosting. Many people have trouble with it. Clearly it can work, especially if use a hosts which specialises in Drupal and nothing else (eg hotdrupal). For the price you quote, you might be able to get a decent VPS to do the job, so you can run Varnish, optimize mysql for Drupal and cut down disk IO. I have experience of PhotonVPS, they are not bad considering the keen pricing. Last month I ran into problems when I downgraded a linode running a few sites from 1.5 to 1GB ram, and in the past had bad problems running a couple of Drupal sites on a .5GB ram VPS with cPanel.

Yes - it can be done. Especially if, as you say, these are low-traffic sites with fairly basic modules.

Reseller hosting versus Shared hosting is a hotly debated issue in its own right. The questions there revolve around price, security, and convenience of operating and updating your websites.

But that debate is a red-herring, in that reseller hosting is a form of shared hosting. Yes, you can set up multiple cPanel accounts (for yourself, for friends, for paying clients), but those accounts end up sharing a webserver just as if you purchased a shared hosting account. So the right question to ask is not whether "reseller hosting" can do it, but: (a) are my drupal sites cut out for a shared hosting enviroment, and (b) is the particular host I'm considering suitable for drupal sites of the kind I want to run.

With regards to (a), the answer for you is definitely "yes". With regards to (b), that depends on the host you want. Avoid ones that promise you oodles of space for hardly a penny, and make sure you've got decent RAM for PHP and the chance to use PHP 5.3. Beyond that, it's down to the reputation of the individual host - making sure they've got good customer support, no terms or conditions that you wouldn't want to sign-up to, and servers that are not overcrowded.

You are actually using 50GB? It's a lot of space...

Anyway I think that with you budget can get a small vps (i.e. prometeus com has some promo)

I had my own dedicated server for years and went with reseller hosting. Haven't had issues with hosting several Drupal based sites on my account yet. I use http://www.netelligent.ca, yah they are more expensive than what you can find out there but you do get what you pay for. I'd rather pay the $10-15 extra and actually get to use what I paid for.

These are their packages http://www.netelligent.ca/hosting/sharedreseller although the number of hosted websites is wrong on the accounts not sure why they have those numbers listed. I have the $55 account and I'm allowed 20 user accounts.
